As of January 1, 2026 CareOregon has contracted with a new vendor, NationsVision, to provide routine vision services to our members. Routine vision services do not require a referral from a primary care provider. Members may schedule an appointment with any CareOregon contracted vision provider.

Beginning January 1, 2026 providers should bill NationsVision for all routine vision services. For dates of service in 2025, providers should continue to bill VSP using their standard process for filing claims.

• To submit claims through NationsVision, visit the NationsVision Portal Link and select ‘file a claim’. Providers can also file a claim through EDI submission.

For in-network medical optometry/ophthalmology services outside of routine vision, contracted providers should continue to bill CareOregon and affiliated entities (CareOregon Advantage, Jackson Care Connect & Columbia Pacific CCO) for all dates of service. Please note that CareOregon authorization guidelines for a specialist office visit apply.
