On November 24, 2025, Abbott announced a recall of multiple lots of FreeStyle Libre® 3 and FreeStyle Libre® 3 Plus sensors because they may provide incorrect low glucose readings.

What are the potential health concerns of continuing to use the recalled FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors?

Using the recalled sensors may lead to incorrect low glucose readings. Incorrect low glucose readings over an extended period may lead to incorrect treatment decisions. These decisions may pose serious health risks to patients.
